We would all like a pleasant room temperature. This prompted us to develop an infra-red heating mat, based on our temperature-controlled wall systems, in the low voltage range (36 Volt) for heating the floor.
The heating mat is supplied in a width of 0.6 metres. From experience, it is preferable to lay this NAXIS infra-red heating mat in 3 m lengths. This ensures an optimum ratio of power consumption to radiant heat. The heating mats are laid on the floor insulation together with the insulating separating foil, and the floor covering can be laid on top of this in the usual way.
The electrical rating is 110 Watt/sqm. The radiant heat should be regulated to a moderate temperature (22-25 °C).
All ceramic tiles, ceramic or glass mosaics and natural stone, etc. can be selected as floor coverings. However, it is important to note the following: the thicker the floor covering, the longer it takes the infra-red underfloor heating to warm through it. When combined with the NAXIS infra-red heating panels, powered by a photovoltaic system, it is possible to generate healthy, clean heat at a reasonable price.
The NAXIS product range includes cable and connection terminal kits, an inrush current limiter as well as matching toroidal transformers for installation.
